Student Scholarships Awarded — CARNAVAL 2025
Four students from Eliot and Eliot Arts Magnet School in Altadena received ISBL scholarships at our 15th Anniversary Gala. ISBL also awarded a community grant to Altadena. Your support makes this possible.
Scholarship Program
ISBL awards scholarships to Afro-Latino students demonstrating academic excellence and community commitment — a direct investment in the next generation of leaders.
Arts & Culture Workshops
Hands-on programming in music, visual arts, and performance that celebrates Afro-Latino creative traditions and gives young people space to express their cultural identity.
Heritage Education
Curriculum and materials bringing Afro-Latino history, diaspora stories, and cultural identity into schools and communities — making what's often invisible, seen.
Community Dialogue
Interactive workshops and seminars in Los Angeles schools and community spaces that promote unity, awareness, and the shared strength of the Afro-Latino diaspora.

The International Society of Black Latinos has awarded scholarships to exceptional students whose dedication, academic achievement, and community engagement reflect the promise and pride of the Afro-Latino experience.
